Eric ATLAN porte le désir de réaliser son second film depuis plusieurs mois et de travailler, comme sur chacun de ses films, avec sa scénariste qu'il dit "attitrée" Marie-Claude DAZUN.
Collaborant sur certaines compositions musicales avec Marc BERCOVITZ celui-ci propose à Eric ATLAN de monter une société d'édition commune RAINBOW MELODIES, avec une extension d'activité à la production cinématographique.
Le projet de MORTEM scénarisé et certains morceaux de la bande originale composée, il est prêt à voir le jour. Motivés par un environnement proche de Marc BERCOVITZ, tous les deux décident de rentrer en action de production pour MORTEM.
Dans le désir d'une nouvelle proposition d'économie et de financement de cette production, Christine LECLABART, productrice éxécutive du film, initie le regroupement d'investisseurs autour des nouvelles lois de défiscalisation : Loi TEPA. Ainsi, ARTISTIC FINANCES est créée regroupant les fonds d'investisseurs et entre en coproduction avec RAINBOW MELODIES sur MORTEM.
Cette initiative de nouvelle économie de production sera suivie par un ensemble de partenaires prestigieux tels que TRANSPALUX, SYLICONE, CAPSON et SWAP
